What is tested in this package

What is Progesterone
Progesterone, or corpus luteum hormone, is a steroid hormone with many important functions for both sexes. It is a precursor to other sex hormones such as testosterone and estrogen as well as corticosteroids. As a hormone, it is primarily known as a female sex hormone with significance for the woman’s secondary sex characteristics, fertility and for embryogenesis, but it also has an important role as a neurosteroid in the central nervous system. Synthetic progesterone is included as an active ingredient in birth control pills.
